What I Learned About The Romans By Lorna

My classmates and I have been learning about the Romans. It has been a very exciting project.We went on a trip to Cramond. We learnt a lot about the Romans. It was a really fun trip. We went in to a small mueeum. We had our lunch and played for the rest of the afternoon. We had a visit from Jeff the Roman. He was great fun. He had a long curvy trumpet. He made a lot of noise!

Last term we have been learning about the Romans and we wanted to tell you.We have learned about Boudicca and Claudius and even all the blood and guts .We also made really good shields and it was great. I remember a couple of other things like Jeff the Roman said he was a real Roman but then how is he still allive? Daniel and I got to put on mini Roman armour. It felt funny and a bit heavy.He told us about the turtle which you do with lots of shields and he said he made his own shoes and clothes.

Jeff the Roman told us about shield,bath,sword,spear,Roman armour and Roman war ,throwing spears from the olden days.They lived 300 years. The celt lived about less than 300 years. Roman soldiers that are the leader ,they wear different helmet than the ordinary soldier.

I learnt that Romans used mouse brains for toothpaste. I saw that they put their shows in the Colosseum and that Rome was found in 700BC.We made our own shields.Their Emperor Hadrian made his slaves build a wall called Hadrian's Wall.

I have learnt that the Romans have conquered many countries.(Italy,France,Spain,Germany,England.)

There were about 60 million Romans.
